Seasonal timing

Around 29 freeze nights a year against 72 days above 90 makes heat the dominant season, and pipe in an unconditioned space spends far more of the year hot than cold.

Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Does heat shorten the life of supply pipe?

It accelerates what's already happening. Hot lines corrode and scale faster than cold ones and they expand more, which is why the hot side usually fails first in an old house. Running the heater cooler slows all of that down.

Why does the pipe knock when the hot water heater cycles?

Expansion. As the hot line heats it grows, and where it's clamped tight or passes through a tight hole it moves in jerks. Loosening that one point often ends the noise entirely.

Should mixed pipe in an old house be replaced all at once?

Not always. Plumbers usually prioritize whatever is failing plus whatever is hardest to reach later, then leave accessible sound runs alone. Doing the inaccessible parts first is what keeps the next repair cheap.

What are the signs a sewer line needs attention rather than a drain?

More than one fixture backing up, gurgling from a toilet when the washer drains, and water appearing at the lowest drain in the house. Those point past the branch to the main line. Houses around Thomasville and Frisco City on older laterals see the same signs.
