Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Why does rusty water only come out of the hot tap?

That usually points at the water heater rather than the pipe. Sediment and a spent anode rod let the tank corrode, and the discoloration shows up on the hot side alone. Rust on both sides points back to galvanized supply pipe instead.

Does an old house need its drain lines replaced along with the supply?

Not necessarily at the same time. Supply pipe fails under pressure and floods; drain pipe fails by clogging and backing up. Plumbers usually camera the drains to decide whether they've got life left before committing to that work.

What causes a knocking sound only when the hot water runs?

Hot lines expand as they heat, and where a pipe passes tight through a joist or a hole in framing it binds and then slips, which ticks and knocks. It's different from water hammer even though it sounds similar.

How far out do plumbers usually travel around here?

Coverage tends to follow the road network more than the mileage. A call from here is usually handled by someone already working the Dadeville and Lineville side of things, which is why availability varies by day.
