Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Should I flush my water heater, and how often?

Yearly is the usual advice, more if you're on a well. Flushing carries out the grit that settles on the bottom before it hardens into a shelf. Once it has hardened, a flush won't move it and a plumber has to decide whether the tank is worth keeping.

Why does my toilet run after the shower is turned off?

Usually a pressure swing. When one fixture stops drawing, line pressure jumps back and a tired flapper or fill valve lifts. If it happens all over the house, the regulator at the service entry is the more likely culprit than any single toilet.

Is a water softener worth it here?

It depends on your source. Well supply around Clayton and Ozark tends to carry more mineral than treated town water, and the tell is white crust on aerators and shower heads. A hardness test costs little and settles the question before you spend on equipment.

What should I do if a supply line lets go while nobody is home?

Shut the main off first, then call. Every adult in the house should know where that valve is before it matters. If yours is seized or buried, getting it replaced ahead of time is cheaper than the water damage it prevents.

Does anyone cover the smaller places outside town?

Yes. Requests from the outlying roads toward Troy are handled the same way as ones from the middle of town.
